UDLA (Unification of Disabled Latin Americans) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1974, by and for physically challenged individuals. UDLA's main goal is its dedication and commitment to improve the quality of life for these individuals and help them to recover their self-esteem and become productive members of society.
As such UDLA has the unceasing task, dedication and commitment to help these disabled individuals realize their potential, by offering various programs and services that are provided free of charge.
UDLA's main objective is to raise a consciousness in our community concerning the need for accessability and the importance of lessening barriers for those who are phisycally challenged and/or developmentally disabled.
In 1974, a group of blind students saw the need to form an organization which could unite, establish meaningful dialogue and act as an support group for disabled people in the community. It was out of that need that U.D.L.A. was born and in 1977, was recognized by the State of California, as a Nonprofit Organization.
For 37 years UDLA has established many programs, activities, and events whose purpose are to bring rehabilitation in all areas of life for disabled individuals. In order for us to continue serving the people of our community we need the collaboration of businesses and citizens that are willing to give a monetary donation.
Thank you for your tax deductible donation, it will help UDLA to continue to free services for the disabled people of our community and their families.
